- עַרְבוּpr. n. pl. ʿArbu. Gen. R. s. 33 (ref. to הערבים 1 Kings 17:6) עיר היא … ושמה ע׳ (ed. Wil. עַרְבִי) there is a town in the district of Bethshean whose (Chaldaic) name is ʿArbi (ʿArbi, so that ʿorbim may refer to the inhabitants of that place, v. Ḥull.5a).
